The Hamon towers

The towers of the S.A.R.O.M. refinery

Notorious for their appearance in Red Desert, these buildings have become a symbol of the industrial history of Ravenna. Built on behalf of Attilio Monti for his Società Anonima Raffinazione Olii Minerali, they remained in activities until 1981, when the facility was closed. Nowadays, the towers still overlook the Canale Candiano, waiting for new future developments.
