The Sailor Monument

“To thee, o great God, whom the winds and the waves obey”

The Sailor Monument commemorates the relation between Ravenna and the sea and all those who work at sea or in the port; this is why following its creation it was placed in 1960 in a position from which all the sailors entering the port could see it.
